Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for coating)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling by melting butter in a saucepan and adding diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until apples are tender. Mix cornstarch with water, add to the apple mixture, and cook until thickened.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Flatten each biscuit dough piece into about 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. Place a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each dough piece. Fold and pinch edges tightly to seal.
  5. Dip each filled ball in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
