  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional for heat)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Pat the brisket dry and season it with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder.
