  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups softened butter
  • 10 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 10 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Green gel food coloring
  • Star sprinkles and Christmas pearls for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, combine vegetable oil, eggs, and water. Gradually add the chocolate cake mix and blend until smooth.
  3. Fill each cupcake liner with batter using a ¼ cup measuring cup.
  4. Bake for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Allow cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. For the frosting, beat softened butter until fluffy, then alternate adding powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth. Mix in vanilla and green gel food coloring.
  7. Frost each cupcake using a piping bag fitted with a star tip, starting from the outside and swirling inward.
  8. Decorate with star sprinkles and Christmas pearls.
